Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor starrer Jab We Met’s sequel is reportedly in talks. Shahid has been discussing the project with director Imtiaz Ali, and Gandhar Films will produce the movie. Further details about the film, including the plot and the rest of the cast, are yet to be announced. Jab We Met, released in 2007, was a blockbuster and was widely appreciated for its storyline and performances by Shahid and Kareena. The news of its sequel has left fans eagerly anticipating its release.
Shahid had also given hint to fans about movie with Imtiaz ali while Twitter conversation with fans earlier this year.
Even in interviw with Siddharth Kanan while asking about Jab we met sequel, he said, “It really depends on the quality of that script. So if there is a script that demands a sequel and I feel it is the kind of script that you read and say ‘Hey, Man if this will be better than the original this can match up to the original I would do it but if I feel it’s not and I’m just trying to use the brand value of the original thing to do then I feel that that ‘why are you doing it,don’t do it.”
He also praised Kareena and saaid that no other actress can pull off Geet the way she did. “I cannot comment on my role, but for Geet (Kareena Kapoor’s character), I really ap”doubt anybody else will be able to do that kind of justice,” he said.
